Originally from Wisconsin, growing up fishing on many freshwater inland and the Great Lakes Michigan, Superior, and Erie, we have landed in Englewood to be near family. We have learned about the entirely different world of saltwater intracoastal/harbor, beach surf, and offshore fishing in South Florida.  For 6 years, we traversed the country following Arlene’s travel nursing contracts and became a homeschool family out of necessity before Covid made it cool.  We have had such a blessed experience steering the ship of our girls’ education, and find most people learn best by just getting their hands dirty and doing stuff. We love our family time fishing and the clean food harvest of the bountiful fish species in our waters, and we would like to share our knowledge and love of fishing with others.

Being from the Midwest, the ecology of Southwest Florida brought completely new game species never encountered by us before. From crab pots, to cast netting baits, to using different rigs/lures/baits in order to target different species, we want to show folks the variety of types of fishing that everyone can enjoy.  We have spent the last 8 years learning new fishing techniques, which species are good to eat or just fun to catch,  and we want to get you in on the action!  We have a love of God’s creation and all the ways it provides for us. Fishing is the perfect way to connect us with so many other lessons from life and His Word.  Matthew 4:19 “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.”
